Help Us Keep the Mail Safe
Keeping the mail safe is a top priority at USPS®. Avoid delays by following these simple guidelines…

  • Only stamped mailpieces weighing 13 oz or less can be put in a blue collection box, Post Office™ lobby drop box, USPS self-service kiosks, or any other unattended location. Mailpieces weighing more than 13 oz and bearing stamps as postage will need to go to a retail counter at a Post Office, Contract Postal Unit, or Approved Shipper location.
  • Don’t send alcoholic beverages.
  • Don’t send prescription drugs, cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, or firearms without first consulting with USPS authorities or reviewing the applicable mailability guidelines.
  • Don’t send prohibited material.
