USPS Digital Style Guide Update

Please note that the USPS DSG has been updated to include a new digital typeface standard and updated color palette. To see the legacy DSG please go to https://usps.com/legacy-styleguide.

The following release notes identify noteworthy changes from each DSG version. Legacy Release Notes summarize changes from the initial launch of the DSG until 2021. Current Release Notes are the active version updates to the DSG. The Current Release Notes table shows the latest updates to the DSG.

The USPS DSG is a living document and the USPS.com domain is ever growing. The DSG is as complete and current as possible.

Version 5.2

April 2026
  • Update to a new digital typeface standard: Inter is now used for all digital typography.
  • Update to new unified color palette:
    • The legacy: Digital Blue (#333366) has been replaced with the Brand Blue (#004B87)
    • The legacy: Digital Red (#E71921) has been replaced with the Brand Red (#DA291C)
    • Digital Accent Blue (#3573B1) has been replaced with USPS Link Blue - dark (#0068BB)
    • Alternative Link Blue (#005EA2) has been replaced with Link Blue - light (#CCE8FF) for use when links sit on a dark background.
  • Modified all guidance and components to the new digital typeface standard and unified color palette.

Version 5.1

September 2025

These updates were implemented prior to the typography and color palette updates.

  • Updates to Design section, including new Spacing & Increments page.

  • Updates to Application Components page, including Text Input Fields section.

  • Updates to Icon Library, added icons: external link icon and Click-N-Ship icons.

Version 5.0

June 2025

These updates were implemented prior to the typography and color palette updates.

  • Updates to Application Components page, including Required Fields, Text Input Fields, and spacing guidance for Checkboxes and Tooltips.

  • Updates to spacing guidance on Static Components page.

  • Added Alternative Link Blue to the Color Palette.
