Stamps are the story of us, and what a powerful story they each tell. America's greatest people, places and moments are memorialized here, honored in the art and story of commemorative stamps.
Here, Heritage is our Hero™.
Celebrate posters of the Work Projects Administration (WPA)—striking and utilitarian artworks created by Depression-era artists employed by the Poster Division of the WPA Federal Art Project during the mid-1930s and early ‘40s. Originally created to support the civic-minded ideals of Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal Program, the WPA Posters inspired, informed, and delighted Americans, and kept a good number of artists employed during one of the nation’s darkest periods.
First day of issue: February 7, 2017 Hyde Park, NY
