Commemorative Stamps

Stamps are the story of us, and what a powerful story they each tell. America's greatest people, places and moments are memorialized here, honored in the art and story of commemorative stamps.
Here, Heritage is our Hero®.

  • Each year, more than 275 million people visit a national park. They find that some parks tell American stories from the Civil War to the civil rights movement, while others protect and preserve beautiful places and irreplaceable natural wonders. With this pane of stamps, issued to coincide with the centennial of the National Park Service, the U.S. Postal Service® encourages everyone to visit our national parks and discover—or rediscover—abundant opportunities for exploration.

First day of issue: June 2, 2016                      New York City, New York

The National Parks Stamps are being issued as Forever® stamps. These Forever® stamps will always be equal in value to the First-Class Mail® one-ounce price, which is $0.50.
