For the Buyer:
  • Each buyer's Individual Development Plan (IDP) will include developmental experiences focusing on supply management techniques: e.g. sourcing process-market and industry analysis, benchmarking best practices and processes that maximize value in the supply chain.
  • All employees in buying functions will participate in two hours of cultural or supplier diversity training annually.
With the Supplier:
  • Conduct roundtable discussions to share information on Postal ServiceTM corporate business goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate to develop better proposals.
  • Conduct sessions aimed at innovation and improvement.
  • Work to leverage benchmarking and best practices in the supply chain.
With the Client/Customer:
  • Assist client organizations with developmental experiences in supply chain management-adding value to the purchasing process.
  • Apply total cost of ownership as the comprehensive measure of effectiveness for supply streams.
  • Convey the use of market and industry analyses for supplier identification and selection including small, minority-owned and women-owned businesses (SMWOBs).
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse supplier base.
