The Government Performance and Results Act of 1993 (GPRA) mandates that the United States Postal Service publish its strategic plans.
By law, the Annual Plan is published every September. The current Five-Year Strategic Plan was published on September 30, 2000, and must be revised every three years.
Each plan describes the framework for goal-setting that the Postal Service is required to address:
goal statements |
performance targets |
initiatives for improving products and services |
approaches to meeting financial obligations |
addressing workforce needs and requirements |
