WHAT: Carol Ann Marketing Company (CAMCO), a full-service direct marketing firm based in Illinois, chose to use Repositionable Notes (RPNs) as the focal point of its Direct Mail campaign. The company wanted to improve the open-and-read rates of its Direct Mail pieces.

The campaign to advertise the company’s direct mailing capabilities targeted 5,500 select advertising agencies and printers nationwide in two separate mailings. Both mailpieces – a postcard and a laser-printed letter inside a #10 envelope – featured notes stating “Target, Focus, Hit!”

“The RPN mailings helped us capture some new business,” noted Carol Dwyer, President, Carol Ann Marketing Company. “In addition, we wanted to show potential customers that Direct Mail can be fresh and innovative.”

RESULTS: The success of the campaign was easily measured in terms of Return on Investment. CAMCO secured 3 new accounts as a direct result of this campaign.
