Postmaster Dawn Partridge and CRC Lori Thomas have added a 'USPS.COM' presentation to their PCC seminars. Presented by Michelle Wyatt, Ft Wayne determined that there was a lot of useful information on the USPS web site and that all their customers might not know exactly where to find all that they needed.

As a result, they created a seminar on the web site. You may find this interesting too, so the outline of the program is presented below to expedite your own seminar. Michelle had printed screens from the website, made copies and used that for a handout as well. She used her laptop, plugged into the phone line, connected to the Internet, and hooked the laptop to the projector (an In-Focus projector). That way the screen projected the live website and she navigated through the site. The handout, with the copies of screens, was an excellent aid when customers left the program and returned to their offices.

If you don't want to go "live", it won't be difficult to prepare a Powerpoint program by copying and pasting website pages. However, some might think that defeats the purpose of displaying the active website. A Powerpoint is a good back up in case your area cannot hook up to a phone line or there are connection problems.

FYI - there will likely be an additional charge to have a phone line for the presentation. A Powerpoint program would be a good alternative when cost for a phone line is prohibitive.
