Shipping with the Postal Service gets easier for eBay sellers.

The PayPal MultiOrder Shipping Solution lets customers manage all eBay and PayPal shipments in one place, print multiple Postal Service domestic shipping labels with one click and link shipments to the newly launched Shipment Confirmation Acceptance Notice (SCAN). SCAN forms contain Intelligent Mail barcodes that hold information on all shipping labels and packages in the same shipment.

"The Postal Service offers the most shipping options on eBay, including domestic shipping labels, free packaging supplies and more delivery days," says Anita Bizzotto, chief marketing officer and executive vice president. "And the Postal Service reaches nearly every address in the world."

Improvements also now allow customers to import shipping information for eBay and PayPal transactions, create shipping presets to ship similar items using the same service type, track packages in the shipping history section and combine multiple items to be shipped together in one package.

WHAT IS SCAN?

The Postal Service launched a new PC Postage feature called "Shipment Confirmation Acceptance Notice (SCAN)." When you print shipping labels using PayPal, a shipper will have the option of creating a SCAN form at the end of their transaction. On each SCAN form, there's a barcode that contains information on all shipping labels and packages associated in the shipment.

You can then give your packages to a letter carrier or take them to the Post Office. When the postal employee scans the barcode on the SCAN form, all packages in the shipment receive an "Acceptance" event from the Post Office.

You can link one package or as many as 50 packages on a single SCAN form.

All labels on the same SCAN form must have the same date and ZIP Code and must be shipped on that date.
