MPTQM—Certified Mailers

The Mail Preparation Total Quality Management (MPTQM) program is designed to help businesses prepare letter mailings that meet or exceed USPS processing quality standards. Designed by industry mailers, it’s a complete system of realistic quality control measures and standardized assessment procedures. It applies to all aspects of the mail preparation process from the generation and barcoding of a letter - to the final sorting and containerizing that takes place prior to presenting the mailing to the USPS.

MPTQM is based upon three internationally recognized quality methodologies - ISO 9001–2000, the Malcolm Baldrige Performance Excellence criteria, and Total Quality Management. By merging the relevant principles of these programs into MPTQM, mailing professionals and the USPS have created this industry benchmark for customer service and product quality.

Below is the complete list of mailers MPTQM-certified by the USPS. Each has met all the criterion of the MPTQM program. Throughout the year, Mailers Companion recognizes newly-certified mailers. The complete list of certified presort service bureaus and certified list mailers is continuously maintained at the MPTQM Web site usps.com/mptqm, as well as information regarding the certification process and online assistance.
