USPS Continues to Transform

The USPS recognizes that changing mailer needs, technological developments, and legal requirements all have an impact on our business. In an effort to ensure that we are capable of responding to these changes, the Postal Service relied on input from our mailers and stakeholders to create a blueprint for the future — the Strategic Transformation Plan 2006-2010. The plan contains four primary goals — generate revenue, reduce cost, engage employees, and improve service.

We Need You

Now with the Strategic Transformation Plan 2006–2010 established, the Postal Service continues to seek input from companies, entrepreneurs and creative individuals about new business concepts, cutting edge technologies, emerging trends, best practices, and innovative processes. With your help, we can expand the opportunities to capitalize on existing postal infrastructure, and develop new business relationships that support our blueprint for the future.

Innovations

Innovations@USPS™ is the place for businesses and individuals to submit concepts and models for new business opportunities. These opportunities can result in new products and services or enhancements to existing products and operations. All submissions undergo a thorough evaluation by a team of postal managers. Concepts that are well aligned with the Strategic Transformation Plan 2006–2010 may lead to a cooperative business arrangement with the Postal Service.

Innovations Process

To learn more about Innovations@USPS, including FAQs and procedures for submitting new business opportunities, go to usps.com/innovations:

  • Select "Submit Your Idea Online"

  • "Accept" the Terms and Conditions
  • Answer the questions and complete the form
  • Then, simply submit your document

Each submission is assigned a case number that can be used to check its status online. A response is sent to the author of every concept received.
