A Notice of Docketing of Petition for this case was issued on December 1, 2004. The Notice stated that an Answer was to be filed by the Postal Service on or about December 16, 2004. The Notice was received by Respondent’s representative on December 7, 2004.
On December 28, 2004, no Answer having been filed, an Order was issued, stating that if Respondent intended to contest this case, an Answer or other appropriate pleading must be received in this office not later than January 7, 2005. The Order also stated that, if no Answer or other appropriate pleading was filed, the Petition may be granted without further notice. Respondent’s representative received the Order on January 4, 2005.
Respondent having filed nothing, the Petition is granted. Respondent may not collect $244.18 from Petitioner’s salary on account of the alleged debt.
