That's what this dog seems to be asking Letter Carrier Norm Nichols, now retired, who helped test ordinary automatic umbrellas, dubbed "dog-brellas," as a deterrent to an attack. "Problem was, no one asked the dogs," says Al Turner, Denver Communciation Specialist, who took this photo in 1982 and dug it out of his files just in time for Dog Bite Prevention Month. "Even though this is funny, employees should never take any situation with a dog for granted."
