Rural Carrier Associate Exam - 460
Position: Rural Carrier Associate

Sorts mail into delivery sequence and loads mail into vehicle. Delivers and collects mail along a prescribed rural route to the designated addresses. Provides customers a variety of Postal related services.

Job Requirements
  1. Sort, deliver, and collect all classes of mail weighing up to 70 pounds.
  2. Must have a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record.
  3. At least two years of documented driving experience.

Qualified applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening to meet the U. S. Postal Service's Employment Requirements. Applicants must also be a U. S. citizen or have lawful permanent resident alien status.

  2. Applicants can apply for an announced exam online or by phone.

    • By Phone - Call 1-478-757-3199 (TTY 1-800-800-8776) and follow the prompts. You must have an announcement number to apply by phone.
  3. After you have applied; you will be sent a package that includes the exam date, time and location, along with materials to help you prepare.
  4. Take the exam; you must receive a passing score of 70 on the written examination to receive further employment consideration.
  5. If you are determined to be qualified, you will continue the process for employment consideration.
