Electronic Technicians Exam - 932
Position: Electronic Technician

Performs a full range of diagnostic, preventive maintenance, alignment and calibration, and overhaul tasks on both hardware and software on a variety of mail processing, customer service, and building equipment and systems, applying advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems.

Maintenance positions require highly skilled and experienced individuals. We provide on-the-job and on-site training, and continuous training at the National Center for Employee Development (NCED) in Norman, OK.

Job Requirements
  • Job may require irregular hours.
  • Positions require prolonged standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching and stooping.
  • Employees must lift heavy objects on level surfaces, on ladders, and/or on stairways.
  • For positions requiring driving, applicants must have a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record.
  • Applicants may be required to qualify on industrial powered lifting equipment.
  • Qualified applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening to meet the U. S. Postal Service's Employment Requirements. Applicants must also be a U. S. citizen or have lawful permanent resident alien status.

  3. After you have applied; you will be sent a package that includes the exam date, time and location, along with materials to help you prepare.
  4. Take the exam; you must receive a passing score of 70 on the written examination to receive further employment consideration.
  5. After passing the exam, you will be required to complete, within a specific timeframe, a supplemental application describing your knowledge, skills and abilities.
  6. If you are determined to be qualified, you will continue the process for employment consideration.
