Custodial Maintenance Exam - 916
Positions: Custodian & Laborer, Custodial

Custodian - Duties include manual cleaning, and buildings and grounds maintenance.

Laborer, Custodial - Performs manual labor in connection with the maintenance and cleaning of the buildings and grounds.

Job Requirements
  1. Must have the ability to stand, stoop, bend and stretch for long periods of time, and to manually lift and carry objects weighing 45 pounds or more without assistance.
  2. Laborers, Custodial operate power-assisted tools and power-driven custodial equipment, and must have the ability to work at heights from ladders, walkways, and scaffolds
  3. For those positions requiring driving, a valid state driver's license is required, as well as a safe driving record.
  4. Both positions require the ability to understand and carry out oral instructions expressed in English

Qualified applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening to meet the U. S. Postal Service's Employment Requirements. Applicants must also be a U. S. citizen or have lawful permanent resident alien status.

  3. After you have applied; you will be sent a package that includes the exam date, time and location, along with materials to help you prepare.
  4. Take the exam; you must receive a passing score of 70 on the written examination to receive 5 or 10 points veteran's preference and be placed on the hiring register.
