Bridgeport Letter Carrier Inducted Into Million Mile Club

WHAT:
Appalachian District Manager Karen Schenck will honor City Carrier Ernhardt Butz who has become the latest member of the Million Mile Club by attaining 1 million miles or 30 years of safe driving without a preventable accident.

WHY:
Ernhardt Butz has been a dedicated and faithful employee for over 30 years. The fact that he’s driven over 1 million miles is a big accomplishment. “The U.S. Postal Service strives for safety. That it’s No. 1 goal and Ernhardt has done that,” said Bridgeport Postmaster Paul Veltri. “He can go home every day the same way he came. That’s what we’re after.”
