Vermont Post Office™ to extend hours on Tax Night—April 15
BURLINGTON VT—For those last minute tax filers who want the comfort of handing their Federal Tax Return to a postal clerk; to see it hand cancelled and sent on its way, the Burlington Main Post Office, 11 Elmwood Avenue, is extending lobby hours until 7:00 p.m. on tax night, April 15. The rest of the state’s post offices will be available to provide the same service during regular business hours. To locate the post office near you log on to www.usps.com.

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation — 146 million homes and businesses. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
