All Post Offices Open on Christmas and New Year’s Eve

But Most Closing at Noon
All Post Offices Closed Christmas and New Year’s Day

U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – All post offices will be open Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24th but most will shorten retail lobby hours and close at noon except for the following post offices which will be open from 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.:

St. Thomas – Aubrey Ottley
St. Croix – Kingshill, Christiansted (Richmond) Frederiksted, and Sunny Isles Station.

Post Office Box sections will close at 5:00 p.m. Regular mail delivery for December 24th will be unaffected by the change.

Revised hours will be posted at each Post Office and commercial customers are asked to check with the Bulk Mail Acceptance Unit for December 24th hours of operation. 

Post Offices will be closed Thursday, December 25 in observance of Christmas Day.  PO Box and Carrier Delivery Service will not be provided.

All Post Offices will be open on December 26th but will have will shortened retail lobby hours and close at noon with Post Office Box sections staying open until 5:00 p.m.  Regular mail delivery will be unaffected.

Most Post Offices in St. Croix will also shorten retail lobby hours on December 31st, closing at noon except for the following Post Offices which will be open from 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Kingshill, Christiansted, Frederiksted and Sunny Isle Station.Post Office Box sections will close at 5:00 p.m. and there will be regular mail delivery.

St. Thomas Post Offices will observe regular hours for Wednesday, December 31, 2008
All Post Offices will be closed Thursday, January 1, 2009.

All Post Offices in St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix will close Retail at 12:00 Noon on January 2, 2009.

All St. Croix Post Offices will be closed all day on January 3, 2009.  There will be no Delivery, PO Box or Retail service on this day.
