MERRIFIELD, VA – To accommodate postal customers during the busy holiday season, retail lobby hours have been extended at select locations throughout the Northern Virginia District.
“During the busiest time of year, we know that customers want more choice and convenience,” says Michael S. Furey, Northern Virginia District Manager. “With the holidays just around the corner, the Postal Service provides more options for your last-minute shipping needs than anyone else.”
Furey notes the following Post Offices will be open on Saturday, December 13 until 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday, December 14 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.:

“The easiest way to alleviate holiday stress this year is to do all of your shipping online at usps.com,” says Furey. “You can print postage and shipping labels directly from your computer with Click-N-Ship. We offer price savings when you ship online and you get free Delivery Confirmation when you use Click-N-Ship. Plus, you can schedule free package pickup online as well, so you can do all of your shipping without leaving home.”
And the Postal Service never adds a fuel surcharge. Skip the trip and save fuel this Yule. Give it to us, we’ll get it there.
But if you still want to visit the Post Office this holiday season, be sure to note the extended retail hours being offered for your mailing convenience.
