The McLean West Branch will host a Passport Fair as an alternative means for   members of the community to apply for a U.S. passport. Passport applications require two recent identical photographs and can be taken at the Passport Fair for a $15.00 fee (in addition to application fees).

Since January 2007, all persons traveling by air outside the United States have been required to present a passport to enter or re-enter the United States. Currently, U.S. citizens traveling by land and sea must present a passport, passport card or government-issued photo ID together with proof of citizenship.

The Passport Fair is open to the public and admission is free.

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation — 146 million homes and businesses. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
