Millwood Post Office to host Customer Appreciation Day

“Take Me Out to the Ball Game” stamp to be dedicated

MILLWOOD, VA — The Millwood Post Office, 2009 Millwood Road, will host a Customer Appreciation Day Event on Monday, August 25, 2008 from 12:20 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. in the retail lobby.  Millwood Postmaster Connie J. White has selected this day to show her postal customers just how much she appreciates their business.

As part of the event’s festivities, John Staelin, Chairman of the Clarke County Board of Supervisors, and Postmaster White will dedicate the recently-issued “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” stamp in the retail lobby. Millwood Post Office customers will also have the opportunity to enter a drawing for a beautiful framed print featuring this popular stamp.

A “grand slam lunch” just like the one you’d get at the ballpark and giveaways will be provided to all those in attendance courtesy of the Millwood Post Office. “This is a wonderful opportunity to let our customers know that we appreciate their business,” said Postmaster White.

The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
