As a way of saying "thanks" to all their customers, Chesterfield postal employees are hosting a Customer Appreciation Day in their lobby. Customers will have the opportunity to "meet and greet" Postmaster George (Mike) Laffoon. Mike was born and raised in the Chesterfield area and has very close ties to the community, including currently serving as an auxiliary police officer. Also on site will be Eric Bentham, Small Business Specialist for the postal service. He will be available to answer questions and provide information on postal products and services, such as "Click-N-Ship" and the usps.com website. There will be light refreshments, giveaways and a raffle. See you there!
An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits 146 million homes and businesses, six days a week. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to cover its operating expenses. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $73 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
