National Postal Customer Council Day

Center for Innovative Technology Hosts 2009 Conference

Every September, mailers and postal managers across the nation gather together in local venues to celebrate “America’s Partnership” - Postal Customer Councils (PCC’s). This year's nationwide event is scheduled for September 16th and will again feature a live keynote address by Postmaster General John Potter, broadcast via satellite as well as testimonials by PCC’s and businesses of all sizes who have benefited from participating in their local PCC.

For this special event, the Northern Virginia Postal Customer Council (NOVAPCC) has partnered with the celebrated Center for Innovative Technology (CIT) to host an all day conference devoted to mailing and shipping. This is the NOVA PCC's premier event of the year and is one of the biggest mailing industry events of the year.

In addition to hearing from special guest speaker James Cochrane, Vice President Ground Shipping, industry experts will be on hand to conduct workshops on: Advertising Mail, Intelligent Mail, Shipping Services and International Mail prior to the national broadcast. Mail service and equipment providers will be exhibiting at the event and will be available all day to answer questions about your mailing and shipping needs.

“I encourage all in the mailing industry to take advantage of this PCC Davy event. It will be a day full of information, education and training on the value of mail and how to utilize it to grow and retain business,” said District Manager, Michael Furey. Attendees can sign up now on the NOVA PCC's web site www.novapcc.org to receive early registration discounts.

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that reaches every address in the nation, 149 million residences, businesses and Post Office Boxes, six days a week. It has 34,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services, not tax dollars, to pay for operating expenses. Named the Most Trusted Government Agency five consecutive years by the Ponemon Institute, the Postal Service has annual revenue of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
