Full-service postal location to open in Saratoga Springs

SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah — A full-service contract Post Office in the rapidly growing area of Saratoga Springs and Eagle Mountain will celebrate its grand opening at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 22, inside the Cyprus Credit Union located at 74 West State Road 73, in Saratoga Springs. The new postal location sits at the crossroads for Saratoga Springs and Eagle Mountain, making it easily accessible to residents from both communities.

Welcoming the new contract Post Office to the community will be representatives from Saratoga Springs City and the Chamber of Commerce; Robert Vunder, U.S. Postal Service manager of marketing; Jesse Carrillo, Lehi postmaster; and Steve Fifield, vice president of branches and member services, Cyprus Credit Union.

The credit union will offer free refreshments in conjunction with the grand opening. Hours for the new postal location will be 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays.

“This new location offers our customers convenience and greater access to postal services," said Carrillo. “Contract postal locations offer virtually all of the services you would find at a Post Office. We encourage our customers to come down and get acquainted with our latest postal location.”

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits 146 million homes and businesses, six days a week. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to cover its operating expenses. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $73 billion and delivers nearly half the world's mail volume.
