Austin Post Office Announces Special Holiday Hours

Full Postal Service Resumes Friday, January 2 At Most Locations

AUSTIN — Postmaster Fina Morales today announced special holiday hours for the New Years Holiday.  Most Austin Post Offices will close at noon, Wednesday, Dec. 31;  however, full delivery services and mail collections will be provided that day.

For customers requiring full Post Office services, in North Austin, the Balcones Station Post Office, at 11900 Jollyville Rd. and in South Austin, the Mockingbird Station Post Office, at 7310 Manchaca Rd, will remain open until 5 p.m. on New Years Eve, Dec. 31.

All Austin Post Offices will be closed in observance of the New Years Day holiday.  There will be no mail collections and only Express Mail deliveries will be provided on New Years Day . 

Retail lobbies at the State Capitol Station Post Office and the University Station Post office, on the UT campus, will be closed Wednesday, December 31 - reopening on Monday, January 5.  Regular Post Office retail hours of operation will resume on Friday, January 2 at all other Austin Post Office locations.

Postal customers are reminded the Post Office is always open at www.usps.com.
