All Repairs to the Facility Projected to be Completed within 60 Days

Houston, TX — Postal officials announced today that retail service and Post Office Box service for customers served through the Bob Lyons Station Post Office have resumed in the facility beginning today. Retail service and Post Office Box service have been housed in portable buildings onsite at the facility since October 25.

Delivery operations will continue operating within the onsite portable buildings for approximately 60 days, at which point all building repairs to the facility are projected to be completed.

Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday – Friday, and from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday. Located at 5826 Broadway, Bob Lyons Station serves ZIP Codes 77551, 77552, and 77554.

In addition, retail service is available to Jamaica Beach residents at the Compu-Place Contract Postal Unit (CPU), conveniently located at 16708 Termini Rd, Suite P. The Compu-Place CPU is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday, and from 9 a.m. – Noon Saturday.

For customers that have permanently relocated or will be at a temporary location for an extended time, the Postal Service recommends filing a Change of Address in order to forward mail to their new address. Customers may file a Change of Address order online at usps.com, at the nearest Post Office or by calling 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777). In addition, customers may request a “Hold Mail” order for up to 30 days by following any of the same options above.

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation — 146 million homes and businesses. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
