Grand Opening Celebration for H&K Food Mart CPU on May 20
Expands Retail Services for Postal Customers in the West Road area

Offers a Wide Range of Postal Products and Services at Post Office Prices

Houston, TX — Products and services offered by the U.S. Postal Service are now easier than ever for postal customers in the West Road area (between Highway 290 and Jones Rd.) to access through the opening of a Contract Post Office (CPU) located within H&K Food Mart at 11420 West Road in Houston.

A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place at 10: 30 a.m., and a Grand Opening Celebration will be held form 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20 to officially open the H&K Food Mart CPU. Houston District Marketing Manager Keith Parmely, Fairbanks Station manager Jocelyn Winn and Customer Services Manager Monica Middleton are scheduled to attend.

Located 4 miles northwest of Fairbanks Station Post Office, the Contract Postal Unit within H&K Food Mart offers postal customers an additional option to access postal products and services, and is a Quick, Easy, and Convenient alternative to the local Post Office for retail transactions. The H&K Food Mart CPU is open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday – Saturday.

What’s a CPU? It’s a Contract Postal Unit located inside a retail establishment and run by the retailer’s employees. These in-store CPUs offer a wide range of U.S. Postal Service products and services at the same prices found in traditional Post Offices. More than 5,000 retailers have taken advantage of this opportunity.
