Grand Opening Celebration for The Exchange CPU on Feb. 13 Expands Retail Services for College Station Postal Customers

Houston, TX — Products and services offered by the U.S. Postal Service are now easier than ever for postal customers in the College Station area to access through the opening of a Contract Post Office (CPU) located within The Exchange at 900 Harvey Road, Suite 16. A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Grand Opening Celebration will be held form 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13 to officially open The Exchange CPU. Dave Pegany, Owner of The Exchange; Cephas Riggins, Postmaster for College Station; Diana Conner, Bryan-College Station Chamber of Commerce; and Shmarilyn Lott, Retail Specialist for the Houston District are scheduled to attend.

Located 2.5 miles north of the College Station Post Office at 2130 Harvey Mitchell Pkwy S., the Contract Postal Unit within The Exchange offers postal customers an additional option to access postal products and services, and is a Quick, Easy, and Convenient alternative to the College Station Post Office for retail transactions. The Exchange CPU is open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday – Friday, and from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.

What’s a CPU? It’s a Contract Postal Unit located inside a retail establishment and run by the retailer’s employees. These in-store CPUs offer a wide range of U.S. Postal Service products and services at the same prices found in traditional Post Offices. More than 5,000 retailers have taken advantage of this opportunity.
