Postal Service Rio Grande District Announces Special Holiday Schedule
For the Independence Day Holiday Weekend

SAN ANTONIO — Rio Grande District Manager Manuel Arguello today announced special holiday retail hours for the Independence Day Holiday weekend. Some Post Offices in the Rio Grande District will close early on Friday, July 3 and mail dropped inside these Postal lobbies will have a last collection time of noon (see attached listing) at these locations; however, full delivery services will be provided July 3, and normal retail hours and mail collections will be provided that day at all other locations.

For customers requiring full Post Office services, some Post Offices in most major Texas cities will be operating at normally scheduled Friday retail hours on July 3. Customers may visit the Postal Service's website, www.usps.com, or call 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800- 275-8777) for assistance in finding their nearest post office locations and hours of operation.

All Rio Grande District Post Offices will be closed July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. There will be no mail collections and only Express Mail deliveries in major urban cities will be provided on the July 4 holiday.

Regular Post Office retail hours and full delivery operations will resume on Monday, July 6.

Postal customers are reminded the Post Office is always open at www.usps.com.

PLEASE NOTE: The U.S. Postal Service's Rio Grande District includes all Texas Post Offices with the following 3-digit ZIP code prefixes: 733, 765-767, 779-789, and 797-799.
