Holiday Post Office Closings

As a reminder, all Post Offices—in addition to the Main Post Office at 525 Royal Parkway—will be closed on Friday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day, and no regular mail delivery will take place on that day.

Nashville area Post Offices will reopen for business at their regular times on Saturday, July 5, 2008, and mail delivery will resume. The Main Post Office in Nashville will be open from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 5 and on Sunday, July 6.

Postal customers with access to the Internet are encouraged to visit the Post Office that never closes at www.usps.com

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation — 146 million homes and businesses. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
