Kids! Bring your letters to Santa this Sunday! Mt. Pleasant Letter Carriers to Take Kids' Santa letters in the Local Christmas Parade

Letter Carriers carrying satchels will take Santa letters for North Pole delivery

Officer-in-Charge Terry Housley and a dozen employees of the Mt. Pleasant Post Office will be participating in the local Christmas Parade this Sunday, December 14.  The parade route will go down Coleman Blvd beginning at 5:30 p.m.  A Postal van will be leading the way in the 100th position, which will feature employees wearing holiday, postal-theme costumes such as Christmas packages and decor.  Letter carriers will walk the street to receive letters to Santa Claus for special delivery to the North Pole.  Kids who include their return address will receive a special “North Pole Mailroom receipt” direct from Santa’s mailroom through the mail in response.  Be sure to tell all your friends to bring their Santa letters to the parade for this special holiday treat.

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation — 146 million homes and businesses. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
