Post Office Hours Announced for Holiday

PHILADELPHIA  -  The U.S. Postal Service Philadelphia District is announcing a change in retail hours for eight Post Offices on Christmas Eve.  Regular mail delivery for December 24 will be unaffected by these changes.  All offices will be closed on Christmas Day.

These offices will close at 12 noon on December 24:

Audubon (19403)
Eagleville (19403)
Fairview Village (19403)
Glenolden (19036)
Norristown (19401)
Ridley Park (19078)

Bridgeport (19405) will close at 1 pm and Southeastern (19399) will close at 5 pm.

Holiday operating hours will be posted in the lobby of your local Post Office.

Customers can log on to usps.com from their home or office.  The Postal Store at usps.com is open 24 hours a day. At The Postal Store, you can buy stamps and stationery, philatelic collectibles and other gift items, order free shipping supplies, print mailing labels with or without postage, and design and mail cards and letters without ever leaving your home.  And customers won’t have to fight Mother Nature.  Stay inside where it’s nice and warm and let the Postal Service do what it does best – pick up and deliver mail.

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation — 146 million homes and businesses. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
