Deputy Postmaster General to speak to Central PA Postal Customer Council

Who: Patrick R. Donahoe, Deputy Postmaster General and Chief Operating Officer of the U.S. Postal Service; Joyce O’Brien, Office of the Attorney General; Postal Customer Council officers; along with mailing partners and members of the Central Pennsylvania Postal Customer Council.

What: A speech to be presented by Deputy Postmaster General and Chief Operating Officer Patrick R. Donahoe on “America’s Partnership” between the U.S. Postal Service its business and residential customer base highlighted by a detailed illustration on the “State of the Postal Service.” A message on “Stopping Identity Theft” will be presented by Joyce O’Brien who is the Senior Community Liaison for the Public Protection Division in the Office of Attorney General, Tom Corbett.

Background: The USPS is proud of its partnership with the American mailing industry. Deputy Postmaster General and Chief Operating Officer Patrick R. Donahoe will emphasize the collaborative nature of the work of the Postal Service with the more than 200 PCCs across the country. He will discuss the Postal Service’s current financial challenges, service performance, as well as strategies for growth.

PCCs, with a membership of 100,000, are a network of business mailers and representatives of the U.S. Postal Service who gather regularly to discuss ways to make mail service more efficient and improve customer satisfaction.
