Greater Portland Postal Customer Council Mailers Expo to Host Sept. 19 Live National PCC Day Broadcast from Downtown Vancouver

VANCOUVER, WA — The Greater Portland Postal Customer Council’s (GPPCC) annual Mailers Conference and Expo on Wednesday, Sept. 19, will host portions of the live National Postal Customer Council Day broadcast to be seen via satellite by thousands of PCC members across the United States.

This special GPPCC event will be held at the Vancouver Hilton, 301 W. 6th St. On-site registration begins at 7 a.m. and the event concludes at 4:30 p.m.

The Vancouver segment of the live National PCC Day broadcast will be hosted by Nick Barranca, U.S. Postal Service Vice President, Product Development. The USPS annual broadcast will also include appearances by Postmaster General Jack Potter and other top USPS officials via satellite from PCC events in Cincinnati and Dallas.

Businesses using mail to conduct business, communicate and grow revenue will want to take this opportunity to hear first-hand from one of the Postal Service’s lead executives about the future direction of the Postal Service.

In addition to the morning’s live satellite uplink from Vancouver, the day-long GPPCC Mailers Conference and Expo will host vendor exhibits, seven different seminars on using the mail to deliver business success, and a keynote address by famed Yoshida’s Gourmet Sauces founder Junki Yoshida.

The registration fee for the conference is $75 per person, $65 for GPPCC members. The fee includes continental breakfast and a full luncheon. Online registration forms and details on the event’s seminars are available at www.gppcc.com.

Led by an advisory board including members from the private business community and local Postal Service employees, the GPPCC was created to improve communications between USPS managers and business customers. There are more than 200 PCCs with 120,000 members nationwide.

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation, 146 million homes and businesses, six days a week. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $73 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
