‘Bridge the Future’ at the Greater Portland Postal Customer
Council Mailers’ Expo on Wednesday, Sept. 23, in Vancouver

VANCOUVER, Wash.—Seminars on everything from effective advertising mail design and use of the Intelligent Mail Barcode to direct mail’s value in multi-media marketing will be offered to attendees at this year’s Greater Portland Postal Customer Council (GPPCC) Mailers’ Conference and Expo.

The Expo is being held Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the Vancouver Hilton in Downtown Vancouver. The event will open at 7:15 a.m. with registration and continental breakfast and run until 4:40 p.m. Advance registration for the full-day event, including lunch, is $75 at www.gppcc.com.

In addition to a selection of 10 seminars, the event will feature keynotes by Amil Christopher Bowles and Sharon Owens. Bowles is the Portland Trail Blazers’ Director of Player Programs; he will share strategies for team development and bringing out the best in individuals, as well as the Blazers’ goals for this season. Owens is the U.S. Postal Service’s Manager, Mailing and Shipping Services Strategy. She will discuss the state of the USPS and provide a look at the coming year in postal business.

GPPCC Co-Chair Tracey Dunlap of Epiq Systems in Beaverton will host the day’s program; Dunlap is a member of the National PCC Advisory Committee.

Attendees will also view the National Postal Customer Council (PCC) Day broadcast from New York City, including the latest national news regarding business mail innovations, hosted by Postmaster General John Potter.

Finally, a vendors’ hall displaying the latest in mail processing technology and services will be on site, along with the chance to win great prizes.

The Greater Portland Postal Customer Council is one of more than 200 such community groups nationwide, made up of local businesses and USPS leaders who work together to improve mail service and exchange ideas to help member companies be more successful.
