Star Wars Stamps and Pictorial Postmark to be featured at SoonerCon Sci/Fi/Pop Culture Expo

Star Wars fans and Sci-Fi enthusiasts are in for an exciting three days at the SoonerCon Sci/Fi/Pop Culture Expo, June 8–10, beginning with a special unveiling and presentation of the U. S. Postal Service’s just released Star Wars stamps The Postal Service, one of 40 exhibitors who have reserved a booth for the Expo, will offer visitors an opportunity to purchase Star Wars stamps and obtain a special Star Wars pictorial postmark to commemorate attendance at the SoonerCon Sci/Fi/Pop Culture Expo (www.SoonerCon.com).

BACKGROUND:
On May 25, Star Wars fans and stamp collectors got what they’ve been calling for: the dedication and issuance of the 41-cent Star Wars commemorative stamps in 15 designs. In addition to the dedication, the Postal Service announced the results of voting for America’s favorite Star Wars stamp, Yoda, to be issued later this summer.
