Kreg Stockstill named 15th Postmaster of Norman, Oklahoma
Oath of Office to be administered Thursday, June 7, 2007
Oklahoma City, OK — Oklahoma District Manager Julie Gosdin has named Kreg Stockstill the 15th Postmaster of Norman, Oklahoma. The official oath of office is slated for Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Norman Main Post Office, 129 W. Gray Street.
As Postmaster at Norman, Stockstill is responsible for more than 160 employees assigned to mail delivery, retail sales, and other customer service operations for the Norman Main Post Office and Sooner Station.
Prior to his appointment as Postmaster at Norman, on March 3, 2007, Stockstill served as Station Manager at Oklahoma City’s Warr Acres Branch, one of the largest station operations in Oklahoma City and one of the most successful units under his leadership.
Stockstill has worked 16 years for the United States Postal Service, beginning his career as a City Letter Carrier at Southeast Station in Oklahoma City. He carried mail for 5 years then entered management as a Supervisor of Customer Service at Southwest Station. He served as Manager at Oklahoma City’s Farley Station and on numerous temporary assignments in the Oklahoma City customer service area before his promotion to the Warr Acres Branch.
“Kreg has brought a wealth of experience and determination to Norman which will contribute significantly to the success of Norman’s customer service operation,” said Gosdin. “Moreover, he is passionate about people and customer service. Kreg is a proven leader and has the essential operational skills needed to continue workplace and customer service improvements. Stockstill attended Southwestern Oklahoma State. He is married, to wife Kerri and has 2 children Kody, and Kayci.
Stockstill will take the Oath of Office as Postmaster of Norman in public ceremonies on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Norman Main Post Office, 129 W. Gray Street, in Norman.
