Cincinnati District Post Offices Announce Christmas Eve Hours

Most Post Office Retail Locations Close at Noon

CINCINNATI — The U.S. Postal Service is announcing a change in retail hours  for Post Offices, stations and branches on Christmas Eve, December 24.  The district serves ZIP Codes beginning with 434, 435, and 436.  These ZIP Codes encompass locations in and around the Toledo area.

All Cincinnati District Post Office retail locations—with the exception of the two locations listed below—will close at noon Christmas Eve.  Regular mail delivery for December 24 will be unaffected by the change.

All Post Offices across the district will also collect mail from street and lobby collection boxes using the pickup schedule posted on the box for all collections before noon.  There will be no collections after noon—except at the offices listed below.  A final collection will take place at noon for boxes that normally have afternoon and evening collections.

Holiday operating hours will be posted in the lobby of your local Post Office.  The following offices will close as noted:

Toledo Area
Main Office, 435 S. St. Clair St., 43601:  5:00 p.m.
Oregon Branch, 3054 Dustin Rd., 43616:  5:00 p.m.

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation — 146 million homes and businesses. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
