Post Office hours announced for Christmas

Many Postal Service Facilities will close early before and after Christmas Day

COLUMBUS, OH – Most Post Offices in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Ohio will close early Wednesday, Dec. 24 and Friday, Dec. 26, 2008 and all offices will be closed all day on Christmas Day.

Most C Most Columbus Postal Service facilities with ZIP Codes beginning with 430, 432, 431, 433, 437, 438, 456, and 457 will close at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24 and Friday, Dec. 26.  The collection boxes in the district will be collected as scheduled before 12 p.m. (noon).  The one exception is the Port Columbus Station located at 4299 Sawyer Road, Columbus OH,  43236.  The Port Columbus Station will be open Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) and the day after Christmas (Dec. 26) until 3:00 p.m.

These offices will also have signage about the early closure hours.  Normal Post Office Box services will be provided at all locations during those three days, Dec. 24-26.  Regular business hours at all locations will resume on Saturday, Dec. 27.  For more information on available services, go to www.usps.com.
