Sidney Post Office to Stay Open Later

6 p.m. Weekday Closing Adds Convenience to Area Customers

CINCINNATI, OH — The Sidney Post Office, located at 135 N. Ohio Ave., (45365), will remain open an hour longer on weekdays until 6 p.m. starting June 7, says Postmaster Vince Catalano.  Saturday operating hours will remain the same.

“It’s part of our ongoing effort to make it easier for our customers to meet their mailing and shipping needs,” Catalano said.

New hours of operation for the Post Office are:

Mon.-Fri. 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.—Sat. 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.

The postmaster added that many services are available on a 24-hour basis by going online to usps.com. Users can buy stamps, print mailing labels, pay for postage, confirm delivery or arrange for a package pick up at the home or office at no extra charge.

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation — 146 million homes and businesses. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
