POST OFFICE CELEBRATES CANAL DAYS

Special cancellation available

Sept. 17-20

			Delphos

DELPHOS, OH — Marketed as a family fun festival, Canal Days has been a popular event since it began in the 1950’s as a Dollar Days/Car Show Festival.

Along with the annual car club cruise, parade and tractor show, this year the Post Office is joining in on the fun with an early TV show marathon, to commemorate the release of the Early TV Show stamps, and a special cancellation to celebrate the festival.

A booth will be set up in front of the Post Office, 127 N. Main Street, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., September 18 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. September 19.

“This is my first year as the Delphos Postmaster,” said Marilyn Mulholland. “I’m very excited to get the Postal Service involved in local activities and events.”

On Sunday, the final day of the festival, postal employees will be walking in the parade.

This year’s event is September 17, 18, 19 and 20. There is no admission charge.
