Background:
Jackie Gleason, who was born at 358 Chauncey Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn, New York will be recognized for his role as blustery bus driver Ralph Kramden in the 1950s television show “The Honeymooners” one of 20 icons from America’s golden age of television that will be commemorated on stamps. Also featured on the stamp image is one of the greatest sidekicks of all time, Ed Norton a New York City sewer worker and Ralph's best friend played by Art Carney.
