In Manhattan and the Bronx, they include: the James A. Farley Main Post Office at 421 Eighth Avenue, FDR Post Office at 909 Third Ave, Murray Hill Post Office at 115 E 34th street, West Village Post Office at 527 Hudson Street, Church Street Post Office at 90 Church, and the Bronx General Post Office at 558 Grand Concourse. In Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island they include: the Brooklyn Main Post Office at 271 Cadman Plaza East, the Strathmore Post Office in Manhasset at 1900 Northern Boulevard, and the Staten Island Main Post Office at 550 Manor Road. APCs are self-service kiosks that offer customers the ability to purchase stamps and postage, mail letters, ship packages, look up ZIP Codes and other mailing information.

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation — 146 million homes and businesses. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
