Postal eBay Session to Teach Basics

eBay Day Workshop Explains How to Fully Utilize Postal Service

LAS CRUCES, NM — From Postal shipping options to eBay Basics, on Tuesday, February 5, the Las Cruces Post Office will be hosting an eBAY Day workshop in the lobby of the Main Post Office, 201 E. Las Cruces Ave., from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m..

The eBay workshop will show customers how to use Postal services to make eBay work for them. “There's a Post Office on eBay,” says Las Cruces Postmaster LeGretta Ross-Rawlins, “and there's no better way than this eBay Day session to learn how to use Postal services and products to make eBay work for you.”

The eBay session will explain Priority Mail and Express Mail packaging and services as well as using the free Package Pickup Service to save time. The eBay basics will cover how to get started, setting up a Seller's Account, and opening a PayPal account. How to research items, take pictures for auctions, pack items for shipping and how to determine fees will also be covered. The seminar is approximately three hours long.

“We've made eBay shipping as easy and convenient as possible,” Ross-Rawlins explains, “including our Automated Postal Center which makes shipping after hours possible.”

Seating is limited and registration is free. To register call the local Post Office at 505-526-2612.

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation, 146 million homes and businesses, six days a week. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
