Skip the Trip When You Ship Online
BELLMAWR, NJ — This holiday season the World Wide Web is crowded with cyber shoppers surfing for cyber bargains. Net-savvy shoppers prefer to do all of their shipping online as well—and they can by going to the US Postal Service website at usps.com.
Gloucester City Acting Postmaster Sam Saldana says, “We want holiday shoppers to know that when it’s time to send those gifts, they can do it all online in the comfort of their home. We have Click-N-Ship, which lets you print postage and mailing labels from your computer. Plus we give you price savings on Priority Mail and Express Mail when you ship online. The amount of savings depends on the number of packages you mail. The more you ship, the more you save. We also include free Delivery Confirmation when you use Click-N-Ship.”
The Postal Service offers free, eco-friendly, recyclable Express Mail and Priority Mail boxes and envelopes which can be ordered online at usps.com/shop for home delivery.
“You can schedule carrier pickup online and we’ll pick up your packages for free,” Saldana adds. “We come to you, so you can skip the trip and save fuel this Yule. There’s never a fuel surcharge when you ship with the Postal Service and no extra charge for Saturday delivery. You save time, money and energy by shipping with us online.”
You can do more at usps.com. The site has a postage calculator, a Post Office locator, and provides package tracking and ZIP Code lookup. You can have your mail held when you’re away or file a change of address online. At the Postal Store, you can buy stamps, stationery and philatelic collectibles online.
“And with CardStore, you can create beautiful personalized greetings online,” adds Saldana. “It’s quick and easy to personalize your holiday cards with your own message and photos. There is a large selection of designs to choose from, or you can create your own with a favorite photo. You can do it all from your desktop at usps.com. We offer the best service at the best prices, and we make every gift a priority. Give it to us, we’ll get it there.”
The cards can be professionally printed and returned to you, or you can select a holiday postage stamp and the Postal Service will address and mail them for you using the mailing list you provide. Gift cards from many national retailers are available to include with your holiday greetings in denominations from $10 to $200.
The Bellmawr Post Office, 421 Benigno Boulevard, Bellmawr, NJ 08031 will be hosting a holiday kick-off on Tuesday, December 2, 2008. Demonstrations of usps.com online products and services, as well as the 24 hour Automated Postal Center, will be available from 10 AM to 2 PM.
