Background:
The U.S. Postal Service will join with community leaders for a ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new Mt. Freedom Post Office. Maria Morse, Northern New Jersey District Manager; Rick Myhren, Manager, Post Office Operations, Mt. Freedom’s Postmaster, Brenda Joinson, and Mt. Freedom’s Mayor, Allen M. Napoliello, will celebrate the start of a new beginning for Mt. Freedom postal customers. This much anticipated new postal facility project was completed in September of 2008. Monday’s ceremony marks the official grand opening and is open to the public.

Located at 1250 Sussex Turnpike, the new Post Office offers a spacious 2,685 square foot work space, plenty of parking spaces for customers, a new retail window and 80 added Post Office boxes available for rent. The Post Office lobby will be open Monday to Friday 7:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The new Mt. Freedom Post Office joins more than 37,000 Postal Service facilities across the nation.
