New England mail expo brings business mailers from six states together

Business mailers are invited to attend one of the biggest mail expo events in New England on Friday, March 27 at the Boxborough Woods Holiday Inn, 242 Adams Place, Boxborough, MA. Speakers, seminars and “strengths” highlight the opportunity.

The New England Business Mail Expo (NEBME) has helped mailers generate contacts in previous years and includes participants from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut and Rhode Island, Maine and Vermont. This year’s event theme, Building on a Strong Foundation by Leveraging Your Strengths, focuses on growing and sustaining your business in these uncertain times.

A registration fee of $75 per person includes parking, all sessions, continental breakfast and lunch. Register by sending a check to New England Business Mail Expo, PO Box 5854, Springfield, MA 01101-5854; or by faxing credit card information to (413) 731-0377 or by registering online at www.newenglandpcc.com. For additional questions, call 1-800-322-0377.

More than 50 vendors of mail-related services and equipment will show attendees the latest innovations in the mailing industry.

Keynote speaker and U.S. Postal Service national Vice President Sales Susan Plonkey oversees the integrated sales and service organization and is focused on fully serving the needs of all commercial mailers, including small-, mid-sized, and large businesses.

Another speaker, Dr. Sean Joyce of Omega Consultants is a psychologist with more than 25 years of speaking and training experience. He is the author of many books and articles on topics such as stress, team building, assertive management, negotiations, and motivating employees.

The event is sponsored by Postal Customer Councils (PCC) in the six states. PCCs are comprised of business mailers and postal professionals who actively promote and conduct workshops and seminars designed to educate business mailers in the latest postal programs, products and services.

It has 34,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services, not tax dollars, to pay for operating expenses. Named the Most Trusted Government Agency five consecutive years by the Ponemon Institute, the Postal Service has annual revenue of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
