Free Workshop in Brownville to Demonstrate
Ease, Convenience, and Savings of Shipping Online

What business or individual doesn’t enjoy saving time and money, especially in these tough economic times? Well, here’s your chance. Patty Dillman of the U.S. Postal Service will be in Brownville on Friday, March 20 to host a free workshop on the ease, convenience and savings of shipping packages and more at usps.com.

The workshop will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on March 20 on the second floor of the Lyceum Café at 228 Main St. in Brownville. All business and residential customers, in the Brownville area and surrounding communities, are invited to attend.

Workshop participants will learn that virtually all of the services they find at a Post Office are available from the comfort of their home or business at usps.com. Dillman will demonstrate how customers can save up to 11 percent off Post Office retail prices by using Click-N-Ship at usps.com to print postage-paid mailing labels for Express Mail, Priority Mail and International Mail, and request a free package pickup. Information will also be shared on how to order free mailing supplies, stamps, hold mail, submit a change of address, find a ZIP Code, and more at usps.com.

“I encourage everyone to attend this free workshop and discover how quick, easy and convenient it is to conduct postal business online, and save some money to boot,” said Brownville Acting Postmaster Kathleen Rulla.

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that reaches every address in the nation, 149 million residences, businesses and Post Office Boxes, six days a week. It has 34,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services, not tax dollars, to pay for operating expenses. Named the Most Trusted Government Agency five consecutive years by the Ponemon Institute, the Postal Service has annual revenue of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
