Fayetteville Contract Postal Unit Will Hold Grand Opening

Public is invited to attend

CHARLOTTE, NC — The new SpeediPrint Contract Postal Unit (CPU) will hold a Grand Opening event on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The CPU is located at 164 Westwood Shopping Center in Fayetteville, near the intersection of Morganton Road and Sycamore Dairy Road.

Customers can purchase stamps, mail letters and packages, and purchase nearly all mailing services — including both domestic and international — at the same prices available at Post Offices. The only services not available at the CPU are money orders, Post Office Box rentals and Global Express Guaranteed services.

The CPU opened for business on April 30, 2008. The hours of operation for the CPU are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The community is invited to attend the Grand Opening celebration. Light refreshments will be served.

The Postal Service offers access to postal services and products nationwide through Post Offices, CPU’s, Automated Postal Centers (APCs) at select Post Offices and online at www.usps.com to provide customer access 24 hours a day.

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation — 146 million homes and businesses. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
